This week, founding attorney Peter D. Haroldson prevailed at the Washington State Court of Appeals, Division II, securing protection for our client from domestic violence.
First, Peter argued successfully before a Pierce County Court Commissioner, who entered a domestic violence protection order against the abuser, protecting our client and their young child.
Then the abuser sought revision of the order before a Pierce County Superior Court judge, and again Peter prevailed, with the judge upholding the protection order. The abuser then asked the judge to reconsider their decision. Peter won again, convincing the judge to maintain their decision. The abuser then filed an appeal with the Washington State Court of Appeals. After an extensive briefing process, a panel of three appellate judges this week unanimously denied the abuser’s appeal and ordered the abuser to pay our client’s attorney’s fees for the appeal.
